Tonight, the Nashville Predators will play the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center. The Kings have been on a slump lately by losing 4 straight. 2 in OT and 2 in regulation. LA played the San Jose Sharks the night before and lost 4-2, so this is their back-to-back game. Nashville has a game tomorrow night in Anaheim. Read the Preview for this Western Conference match up below. Puck drops at 9:30 PM CDT.

The Los Angeles Kings lost to the San Jose Sharks last night 4-2, and they will be angry. The Predators have to take advantage of them being frustrated and somewhat tired. The Kings have gone 0-3-2 in the last 5 games. Coyotes in OT, Avalanche, Oilers, Penguins in OT, and Sharks. The Kings’ record is 6-5-3. Not great because they could be better. Drew Doughty has been injured for a while and is back. Doughty has only played 8 games and put up only 2 assists. Drew is a better player than that. Jonathan Quick has played well in between the pipes. A 1.87 GAA and a .936 save percentage. Bernier as a back up isn’t too bad either.
Players to watch for: #14 Justin Williams, #3 Jack Johnson, and #17 Ethan Moreau *LA Kings fans, I don’t choose obvious players.
On the other bench, the Away team, the Nashville Predators lead by Pekka Rinne. Last game, against the Sharks, they won 4-3 in OT. Close game, and I think they played very well. Nashville would love to have this win to improve their record on this road trip to 3-0-1. In that game, Ryan Suter and Shea Weber was split up for some of the game. This has been going crazy in Smashville and has been getting a lot of attention in the papers and on other blogs. I am not going to report it, because it is not “News Worthy”. Trotz just made a quick line-up change. I do expect Weber and Suter to be together once again this game. The key for the Preds to win is like always. Start early, shoot the puck, be physical, and finish the game well.
