Okay, where do I start? Columbus spends their money, again. They found a replacement for Kristian Huselius. Prospal played 29 games last season with the New York Rangers, scored 9 goals and 14 assists. This guy is money down the drain for a team who has too many of the same exact players. Columbus, WILL NOT make the playoffs this season. They spent way too much money on decent players. They really need a goalie. I am not sold on Steve Mason. He had one hell of a rookie season, from then on, he has been inconsistent. One move I think that would have helped them, is getting former Predator, Tomas Vokoun. They could, and should, try to get Nabokov. Let Steve Mason have a back up job, and learn from a veteran.
Back to Vinny Prospal, he signed a 1 year-deal worth $1.75 million according to Yahoo! Sports. Also, according to Eklund, the Nashville Predators were in on him. My first thought was, WHAT!! WE MISSED OUT ON A GOOD PLAYER!! Then, I was thinking, I don’t think he would be a good fit with the Predators, the way we are getting rid of the older players.
